Swap

Swapping tokens — the Swap button

The round button with the KyberSwap logo in the bottom-right corner of every page opens the Swap window: exchange any tokens through the KyberSwap aggregator right inside the app, without going to another site. The button is shown once you are signed in; if no wallet is connected, or it is on another network, the window asks you to fix that. The KyberSwap widget itself is in English.

Networks and wallets

  • Networks: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Robinhood Chain — switched with the Network tabs at the top of the window. With an external wallet a tab asks the wallet to switch networks.
  • Wallets: works with every wallet the app supports — built-in, browser and external (MetaMask, WalletConnect and others). With the built-in and the browser wallet the app signs the transaction; in an external wallet you confirm it.

How to swap

  1. Pick the network, the token you give and the token you receive.
  2. Type the amount — or press 25%, 50%, 75% next to Max: they fill that share of the balance of the token you sell. A click on the balance fills the whole amount, like Max.
  3. Press Swap. The first sale of a token needs an approve — a separate transaction that lets the KyberSwap router spend that token.
  4. The window shows the status until the transaction is in a block; the View transaction link opens it in the network’s explorer.

For the native coin (ETH / BNB), Max, the percentages and a click on the balance keep a gas reserve: 0.005 ETH on Ethereum, 0.002 BNB on BNB Chain, 0.0005 ETH on Base, 0.001 ETH on Robinhood Chain.

The default slippage comes from Slippage (%) in Settings.

If the window says “Result unknown”, the transaction may have gone out: check your wallet or the explorer before swapping again.

Fee

0.25% from the quote side of the swap (stablecoin, ETH / BNB, WETH / WBNB); an exchange of two non-quote tokens carries no fee. The fee is already in the quote. Details — in Fees.

Safety

The KyberSwap widget runs in an isolated window: it has no access to the app, your session or your keys. It signs nothing itself — it only proposes a transaction, and the app checks every one before it is signed: that it goes to the KyberSwap router, that the recipient is your address, that the fee is not above the stated one and that a minimum to receive is set. For the built-in and the browser wallet the swap route is built by the app’s server.
